We are currently looking for an experienced Data & AI Lead to join an international project focused on building and scaling enterprise analytics and AI capabilities.

In this role, you will take ownership of a modern SAP analytics ecosystem while designing and implementing AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position combining data architecture, SAP analytics, Python development, Generative AI, and AI agents.

Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end ownership of the analytics platform built on SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Business Data Cloud.

• Design and develop data models, analytical views, replication and federation flows, and integrations with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and non-SAP systems.

• Build and optimise SAP Analytics Cloud models, dashboards, stories, and analytical applications.

• Identify and evaluate AI use cases in collaboration with business stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking, and response evaluation.

• Build and maintain AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and integrate them with Microsoft Teams, M365, and enterprise applications.

• Develop reusable Python components, APIs, and services following software engineering best practices.

• Implement AI monitoring, evaluation, logging, security guardrails, and cost optimisation mechanisms.

• Lead AI initiatives from proof of concept through production deployment.

• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members.

• Define and maintain the analytics and AI roadmap.

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and internal data governance standards.

• Support AI adoption across the organisation through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.

Must-have Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Data & Analytics, ideally with a background in Business Intelligence and subsequent experience in AI.

• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Datasphere, including Data Builder, views, analytic models, replication and federation flows, and task chains.

• Practical experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, including models, stories, analytic applications, and live/import connections.

• Understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud and its integration with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Databricks.

• Advanced SQL and data modelling skills, including semantic layers, performance optimisation, and data quality.

• Strong hands-on Python programming skills for data engineering and AI applications.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including AI agents, knowledge sources, actions, connectors, and Power Platform integrations.

• Proven experience designing and deploying RAG pipelines and AI agents in production environments.

• Solid understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, context management, orchestration, tool calling, and hallucination mitigation.

• Experience with Git, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

• Previous experience providing technical leadership to a team, squad, or project workstream.

• Knowledge of AI governance, GDPR, EU AI Act, and responsible AI principles.

• Fluent English for collaboration in an international environment.
