About the Project

You will play a key role in a large-scale network transformation initiative focused on separating data and management traffic within a complex enterprise infrastructure.

The project involves assessing the existing network environment, identifying traffic dependencies, designing secure network segmentation solutions, and supporting infrastructure migration activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior networking professional who enjoys combining architectural expertise with hands-on technical problem-solving in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess existing network configurations, including IP addressing, VLANs, network interfaces, segmentation, and traffic flows.

• Analyse management and data traffic dependencies across enterprise infrastructure.

• Identify backup, replication, and operational workloads utilizing management network channels.

• Design future-state network architectures, traffic segregation strategies, and connectivity solutions.

• Develop migration plans and support their implementation while minimizing operational risks.

• Evaluate network capacity, NIC availability, bandwidth requirements, and infrastructure limitations.

• Provide hands-on troubleshooting, connectivity validation, and incident resolution during migration.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure a secure and smooth transformation.

• Maintain network reliability, performance, and security throughout the migration process.

Must-have Requirements:

• Extensive experience in enterprise networking and network architecture within complex IT environments.

• Strong expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including routing, switching, VLANs, and IP connectivity.

• Practical knowledge of network segmentation and traffic isolation, particularly data and management traffic separation.

• Hands-on experience with Network Interface Cards (NICs), network connectivity, and infrastructure capacity assessments.

• Proven involvement in network, data centre, or infrastructure migration projects.

• Ability to analyse network traffic flows, identify dependencies, and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues.

• Strong understanding of network security, reliability, and performance considerations.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Nice to have Requirements:

• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure transformation programmes.
